Subjects Taught
The question often asked is "what is the Most Effective Martial Art?" The truth is that the strength is the practitioner, and the chosen Art is only the way to develop the true potential of the individual.
At the Bushido Academy we teach evolved variations of traditional styles, ensuring their effectiveness whilst at the same time retaining the traditional teaching methods that have helped forge Martial Arts into a tool for development of the Self for centuries. Whilst students will get the chance to study all of the skills described here (and more), the option is open to those who wish to pursue the chance to specialise in the following areas, and join their fellow students from round the country in national gradings (where there is no competition against others, only the opportunity to demonstrate your own growth in your chosen subject)

British Bushido Karate

Aikido-Te
Aikido-Te is a truly effective combat style that is centred on the manipulation of the opponents energy. It unleashes the latent destructive power of traps, locks, throws, holds and subjugations, and is further enhanced by the inclusion of dynamic striking techniques.

Aikido-Te provides the students with a street combat-ready style, which can evolve to deal with any attack / situation in modern day society, rather than adhering to concepts of defence and movement which are no longer applicable today.
